tōn is an interior design studio focused on restaurants, hospitality, and branded environments — approaching tone as both the character of a space and the feeling that lingers long after you leave. We believe atmosphere speaks before anything else does. For hospitality brands, space is identity made tangible — expressed through material, light, proportion, and rhythm.

We listen carefully, distill what makes your brand distinct, and translate that essence into environments that feel aligned and enduring. From early discovery through realization, each decision is guided with clarity and intention. While much of our work centers on hospitality, we also collaborate on select residential projects where atmosphere and identity are equally essential.

Studio Philosophy

Our Process

  • The Intake Call is the first step in understanding your brand, goals, and vision for the project. This ensures that both you and the studio are aligned before moving into full concept development. It also allows us to provide thoughtful guidance while respecting your time and ours.

  • With alignment established, we begin a deeper exploration of your brand and its potential expression in space. This phase is about uncovering what makes your concept distinct — your audience, your values, your ambitions — and translating those insights into a clear design direction.

Through research, dialogue, and visual study, we develop a guiding concept narrative and mood boards that define the tone of the environment. This foundation informs every material, proportion, and spatial decision that follows, ensuring the project moves forward with clarity and intention.

  • Here, the concepts in place so we begin shaping it into a space that can be built. Layouts are refined, materials and finishes are selected, and the details that define the experience are resolved.

We prepare the drawings, specifications, and coordination needed for consultants and contractors, and outline the path forward into construction or installation. This phase brings clarity to how the project will be realized while staying rooted in the original tone.

  • During implementation, we remain involved to support the project as it is built or installed. This includes coordinating with contractors and vendors, reviewing progress, and responding to questions as they arise. We stay connected to the original concept throughout this stage and provide updates to keep communication clear.
